Invase Fish Control Postdoc - University of Minesota

Spearhead the development of two new technologies to control invasive fish. Specifically, conduct field and lab tests of autonomous devices to remove invasive fish during their spawning migrations and conduct lab, pond and whole-lake experiments to determine if invasive fish can be controlled using species-specific toxin delivery schemes. The work will be conducted in lake-marsh systems in Minnesota and will focus on the common carp. Great opportunity for someone interested in fish behavior who is also interested in developing novel management strategies. Position starts July 1, 2017. This is a 2-year position.
PhD in Fisheries, Fish Biology, Ecology or related field. Familiarity with field gear (telemetry, PIT, boats) is a plus. Valid driver’s license.
