AIBS provides legislative alerts and a listing of current legislation before Congress regarding freshwater science and education

The American Institute of Biological Sciences (AIBS) has several public policy tools that may be of interest to NABS members. The AIBS website provides legislative alerts and updates and a listing of current legislation before Congress pertaining to climate change, conservation, research, science education, and science funding. NABS members can join the AIBS Action Network to receive legislative alerts and to send emails to elected officials on important issues. The latest advisory addresses key science education programs that have not yet been funded for fiscal year 2011.
